AWS Cuts Prices on Amazon EC2 NVIDIA GPU-Accelerated Instances
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced significant price reductions for its Amazon Elastic compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) NVIDIA GPU-accelerated instances. The price of P4 (P4d and P4de) and P5 (P5 and P5en) instance types will drop by up to 45 percent.This move aims to make generative AI on AWS and advanced GPU computing more accessible to customers.
The price reduction applies to both On-Demand and Savings Plan pricing in all regions where these instances are available. On-Demand purchases will see the new prices starting June 1, while Savings Plan purchases will reflect the changes effective June 4.
AWS cited its ongoing efforts to lower costs and pass savings back to customers as the reason for the price cuts. regular price reductions on AWS services have been a standard practise, reflecting the economic efficiencies gained from the company’s scale.
