Eduardo Pereira de Menezes secured a five-star show jumping victory at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Valkenswaard, topping a competitive jump-off against a world-class field in the Netherlands according to Equnews International and GC Global Champions.

Riding H5 Messentus PS, a Hann stallion by Messenger out of Dobel’s Cento, the Brazilian rider flew through the jump-off course to cross the timers in 37.43 seconds. That blistering clear round edged out the rest of the elite barrage field by mere fractions of a second during the September 6, 2026, feature competition.

Kevin Jochems of the Netherlands came agonizingly close to home turf victory, finishing as runner-up in 37.71 seconds aboard Casquetto van de Helle. Ireland’s Mark McAuley rounded out the podium in third place with Rossi vd Heffinck, stopping the clock at 39.68 seconds.

Tight Competition at Valkenswaard

Germany’s Sandra Auffarth finished just outside the podium in fourth place, steering Comcador OLD to a time of 40.85 seconds. Italy’s Clara Pezzoli claimed fifth place aboard Hadewyn van’t Ravennest in 42.19 seconds.

France’s Jeanne Sadran posted the fastest time of the initial round with Congratulation Pezi KB but ultimately settled for sixth place after crossing the finish line in 42.51 seconds in the jump-off. Belgium’s Olivier Philippaerts took seventh after incurring four faults in the barrage with Ragazzo Av.

Rounding out the top tier of the jump-off results, France’s Olivier Perreau finished eighth with four faults in 39.64 seconds aboard Leopard des Joanins Z, while Belgium’s Jérôme Guéry took ninth after picking up eight faults with Kiliman Sitte in 38.17 seconds.

A Milestone Weekend for the Championship

The five-star event in Valkenswaard marked a historic stop for the circuit, celebrating 20 years of the Longines Global Champions Tour as the series returned to its foundational home in the Netherlands, according to GC Global Champions. Founder and president Jan Tops reflected on the two-decade milestone during the tournament week.

Earlier in the weekend schedule, Riesenbeck International claimed a statement GCL team victory in Valkenswaard, reinforcing their position atop the overall 2026 championship standings ahead of the final stretches of the season, according to GC Global Champions. The tour standings show Riesenbeck International leading the team leaderboard with 21.70 points, followed by the Istanbul Warriors and the Basel Cosmopolitans.
