Šiauliai celebrates its anniversary year as a city confidently connecting history, culture, and modern life. The role of ambassador this year isn’t just representative; it carries deep meaning – to share the city’s values,tell its stories,and create a vibrant,contemporary narrative for Šiauliai.
“My hometown of Šiauliai has character,a unique identity,courage,and ambition. This title isn’t just an honor – it’s a responsibility and an opportunity to speak about my city in a way that makes it heard, seen, and inspiring,” says 43-year-old Edvardas Žičkus, whose parents, family, and friends still live in Šiauliai.
Žičkus is an active member of the International Federation of Journalists and the Lithuanian Journalists’ Union and has received recognition for his work in media and creation.
