Ssekandi operated from his office on the fourth floor of Kampala Kingdom on Tuesday as he reflected on a political career running alongside Museveni’s administration. Ssekandi served as Speaker of Parliament from 2001 to 2011 before taking office as Vice President, a post he held until 2021. President Museveni has led Uganda since the National Resistance Movement assumed power in 1986.
