sokolov Crowned Champion,Abou El-Ela wins Seniors Title
Fourteen-year-old qatari prodigy Daniel Sokolov achieved a historic victory,becoming the youngest champion in the Egyptian Amateur Open’s history. He finished with a remarkable nine-under-par score, totaling 207 strokes, and received the cup from Egyptian Golf Federation President Omar Hisham Talaat.
In the inaugural seniors’ category, Egyptian player Amr Abou El-Ela secured the title after a competitive contest against Ghassan Kabbani and Costa Marmaras.
New Prize Money Initiative
For the first time in the championship’s history, prize money was awarded to the top five finishers.This initiative, according to the federation, reflects a commitment to developing the competition and incentivizing players.
