Egyptian Exports to Germany Increase by 11% in the First Half of 2024
According to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the volume of Egyptian exports to Germany increased, recording $463 million in the first half of 2024, compared to $417 million in the same period of 2023, an increase of 11%, while Egyptian imports from Germany amounted to $2 billion in the first half of 2024, compared to $1.9 billion in the same period in 2023, an increase of 5.3%.
Data from the organization shows an increase in the volume of trade between Egypt and Germany, recording 2.5 billion dollars in the first half of 2024, compared to 2.4 billion dollars in the same period of 2023, an increase of 4.2%.

The value of German investment in Egypt in the first half of the 2023/2024 fiscal year was recorded at $196.4 million, compared to $199.6 million in the same period of the 2022/2023 fiscal year, while Egyptian investment in Germany amounted to $97.9 million in the first period. Half in the 2023/2024 fiscal year, compared to $131.4 million in the same period in the 2022/2023 fiscal year.
Remittances from Egyptians working in Germany were worth $129.8 million in the 2022/2023 fiscal year, compared to $203.3 million in the 2021/2022 fiscal year, while remittances from Germans working in Egypt were worth $15.2 million. 2022/2023, compared to $9.7 million in the 2021/2022 fiscal year.
Egypt recorded a population of 106.8 million people in September 2024, while Germany recorded a population of 83.2 million people for the same period.
According to mission estimates, the number of Egyptians present in Germany will reach 128,000 Egyptians by the end of 2023.
