After penning a book detailing his life experiences and performing songs about his homelands—Italy and Egypt, including one in Arabic and another in the brescian dialect wiht singer-songwriter Charlie Cinelli—it’s now time for him to venture into acting. Nasser Ata Alla, better known as Mimmo, has been living in Borgosatollo with his family for quite some time. He has three children, two sons and a daughter, and manages two pizzerias in the town.
The idea for the film arose from the book «Nasser, da clandestino a cittadino» (Nasser, from illegal immigrant to citizen), co-written with Luciano Zanardini. The project is a collaboration with director Mauro Cartapani, who previously created a film titled “A-mors.”
