The Nemesio Camacho stadium El Campín has begun a comprehensive treatment of its grass. Following two concerts by the Korean band BTS at the sports venue the previous week, the intervention, according to the operating company Sencia, includes specialized work to restore soil conditions and renew vegetation in areas that require it.

The company explained in a statement that these tasks were included in the technical maintenance plan and had been previously communicated to the Football Commission. The process encompasses decompaction, deep aeration, fertilization, and soil restoration to promote root development and strengthen the vegetation cover. Once these tasks are completed, the turf will be renewed and replaced in the areas where technical assessments determine it is necessary.

Sencia implements five grass fields for stadium maintenance

As part of its strategy to ensure the availability of plant material, Sencia implemented five natural grass fields in Tibabuyes, Usme, Bosa, Engativá, and Suba. These spaces are designated for the care and storage of turf that can be used in the stadium during different maintenance cycles, allowing for the replacement of areas of the field that require it.

The agronomic process is being led directly by the specialized firm Equiver. According to the operating company, the intervention is supported and endorsed by agronomic experts with international experience in the specialized management of sports fields, and is being carried out taking into account the specific soil conditions and vegetation cover of the site.

Continuity of the events calendar

In his statement, Sencia indicated that the treatment of the playing field is part of the planned technical work and that the schedule of football matches, concerts, and other events remains unchanged. Events scheduled at El Campín continue to proceed as normal. The intervention seeks to recover and strengthen the conditions of the field after the musical performances of the Korean group.
