Dallas-based Elara Caring, a major player in U.S. home-based care, announced Wednesday the appointment of Ananth Mohan as its new CEO.Mohan, formerly the company’s chief operating officer, steps into the role immediately, succeeding Scott Powers, who departs after nearly six years.
Elara Caring operates roughly 200 locations across seven states, serving more than 60,000 patients. The company has emphasized value-based care, especially within the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing model. Mohan’s promotion signals a continued focus on this area, along with expanding the company’s footprint.
During his tenure as COO since 2021, Mohan oversaw elara Caring’s business units, collaborating with clinical teams and operational leaders. Before joining Elara Caring, Mohan was president of enterprise operations at Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
