Elden Ring Co-op Mod: Play Nightreign Seamlessly with a Friend
Elden Ring: Nightreign Gets Unofficial Two-Player Co-op Mode
Updated May 31, 2025
Just a day after the release of Elden Ring Nightreign, modder Yui, known for the Seamless Co-op series, has already created a functional two-player co-op mod. This arrives as FromSoftware retains the option to introduce an official two-player mode, while currently supporting onyl solo or three-player experiences.
The unofficial mod allows players to team up and tackle the challenges of Elden Ring Nightreign together. Initial reports indicate a smooth and seamless experience, even improving upon the original Seamless Co-op mod. The Elden Ring Nightreign mod also avoids conflicts wiht Easy Anti-Cheat and opens the door for further community modifications.
To install the Seamless Co-op mod, players need to place the files from Nexus Mods into their elden Ring Nightreign/Game folder. The mod operates through its own executable file, separate from FromSoftware’s official servers, and utilizes distinct save files.
A notable consideration is that existing game progress will not transfer to the Seamless Co-op mode, and vice versa. players must also invite friends through Steam.
Yui confirmed that the difficulty balancing remains untouched in the two-player mod. This may explain how the modder was able to quickly develop a two-player mode, while FromSoftware continues to refine the balance for solo play in Nightreign.
What’s next
It remains to be seen how Seamless Nightreign will evolve and weather FromSoftware will eventually release its own official two-player solution for Elden Ring Nightreign.
