- Tesla Model Y - 101,181 units sold, with a year-on-year decline of 26%
- Toyota Yaris Cross – 99,694 units sold, with a year-on-year growth of 3%
- Toyota Yaris – 93,576 units sold, with a year-on-year growth of 10%
- Volkswagen T-Roc – 111,381 units sold, with a year-on-year growth of 1%
- Peugeot 208 - 107,097 units sold, with a year-on-year growth of 1%
- Skoda Octavia - 102,945 units sold, with a year-on-year growth of 25%
- Citroën C3 – 102,304 units sold, with a year-on-year growth of 50%
Market Trends
Although the market share of electric vehicles has been steadily increasing in recent years, internal combustion engines and hybrid models still dominate the market. The decline in sales of the Tesla Model Y, one of the world’s best-selling electric vehicles, shows that it will take time for electric vehicles to completely occupy the market.
The European market still has a huge demand for small, economical, and practical internal combustion engine models. The sales of the Citroën C3, a compact car, have increased significantly year-on-year, with a growth of 50%.
