Incident Details
The emergency call center (1-1-2 Castilla y León) received multiple reports of the explosion at approximately 4:29 PM local time. The two-story residence was located in the town square of Villar del Río.Firefighters from Ágreda Tierras Altas Moncayo successfully contained the resulting fire.
Initial uncertainty regarding whether anyone was inside the house was resolved when firefighters discovered and extracted Blanco’s body from the rubble. A loud roar, consistent wiht a structural collapse, was reported by witnesses during the incident.
Investigation Underway
