The four-time motocross champion and two-time supercross champion currently holds third place in the 450 class standings, trailing leader jett⁢ Lawrence by 17 points.

Tomac’s journey to the ⁢top ⁤began on his family’s 800-acre‍ ranch in McElmo Canyon, where he honed his skills on a custom-built ⁤motocross track. His ⁤father, John Tomac, a mountain biking legend, played a crucial role in his ‍development, providing guidance and support throughout his career. The elder Tomac is the grand marshal of Saturday’s event.

Despite ⁣a broken leg sustained in February, the 32-year-old Tomac is confident ⁣in his ability to compete for the championship. Thunder Valley promoter David Clabaugh noted that Tomac’s return adds to the excitement surrounding the 25th anniversary of the Thunder Valley National. Tomac himself expressed enthusiasm for racing in front of his home crowd.
