The four-time motocross champion and two-time supercross champion currently holds third place in the 450 class standings, trailing leader jett Lawrence by 17 points.
Tomac’s journey to the top began on his family’s 800-acre ranch in McElmo Canyon, where he honed his skills on a custom-built motocross track. His father, John Tomac, a mountain biking legend, played a crucial role in his development, providing guidance and support throughout his career. The elder Tomac is the grand marshal of Saturday’s event.
Despite a broken leg sustained in February, the 32-year-old Tomac is confident in his ability to compete for the championship. He has a strong track record in Colorado, with four previous professional wins, including a supercross victory at Empower Field in 2019 and three Thunder Valley National titles.
