Elite 11 Finals and Official Visits Shape 2026 Recruiting Landscape

Manhattan Beach, California, is a focal point this week as the 2026 recruiting cycle intensifies. The Elite 11 Finals in Southern California
gathered 20 of the nation’s premier high school quarterbacks, including Dia Bell (Texas commit), Faizon Brandon
(Tennessee), and Keisean Henderson (Houston).
Uncommitted quarterbacks Landon Duckworth, Oscar Rios, and Bowe Bentley also participated in the Elite 11
Finals, a high school quarterback camp.Bryson Beaver, a Boise State decommit,
and two-sport athlete Matt Ponatoski were among the late risers present.
Official visits are also underway. Lamar Brown, the No. 1 overall recruit, is visiting LSU.Immanuel
Iheanacho (Oregon),Derrek Cooper (Ohio State),and Kaiden Prothro (Texas) are among other five-star prospects
making visits.
Top Uncommitted Quarterbacks
Of the top 45 quarterback prospects, 12 remain uncommitted. Five of them participated in the Elite 11 Finals.
Landon Duckworth has narrowed his choices to Auburn and South Carolina after visiting Auburn. Sources indicate
south Carolina is the front-runner, with new offensive coordinator Mike Shula building a strong rapport.
Oscar Rios is deciding between Arizona and UCLA, with a commitment date set for June 27. His relationships
with UCLA’s offensive coordinator Tino Suneri and the Iamaleava family could give the Bruins an advantage.
Bowe Bentley, following visits to LSU and Oklahoma, is using the Elite 11 trip to reassess. He aims to make a
decision before july.”Hopefully before July,” Bentley said. “That’s the goal. Go back home, go through
everything again and see where my heads at.” Sources suggest LSU is the favorite.
Ryder lyons will visit BYU, though Oregon is considered the front-runner. Jaden O’Neal’s visit to Florida State
has made the Seminoles a contender, despite his commitment to Oklahoma.
Jett Thomalla flipped to Alabama, impacting Matt Ponatoski, who is also considering baseball. Kentucky is now
favored to land Ponatoski, though he will visit Oregon. bryson Beaver,after decommitting from Boise State,
visited Ole Miss and Alabama and now holds offers from both,along with Oregon. LSU or Oklahoma could also enter
the mix for Beaver, depending on Bentley’s decision.
Five-Star Official Visits
Lamar Brown is focusing on LSU, Miami, and Texas A&M. Despite a social media post suggesting a decision after
visiting Texas A&M, Brown is still scheduled to visit LSU.Sources believe LSU is the leading contender,though
Texas A&M remains a strong contender before Brown’s July 10 commitment date.
LSU is also working to secure the commitment of Tristen Keys,the top-ranked member of their 2026 class sence
March 19. Keys has already visited Miami, Tennessee, and texas A&M this month.
