Betty Buckley was,first and foremost,a family woman. she shared a cherished marriage with her husband, Con, and together they built a loving home that nurtured their five children: Conor, Mark, Orla, Liz, and David. Her role as a mother wasn’t simply about raising children; it was about fostering a sense of belonging, offering unwavering support, and instilling values that will continue to resonate through generations.
This dedication extended to her ten adoring grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Grandchildren often hold a special place in a grandparent’s heart, and for Betty, they were a source of endless pride and happiness. She embraced the role with enthusiasm, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Funeral Arrangements and Condolences
Reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Boreenmanna Road, Cork of Jerh O’Connor Ltd, on Wednesday, August 13th, from 5.00pm to 6.00pm, provides an opportunity for friends and family to pay their respects.
A Requiem Mass will be held at 11.00am on Thursday, August 14th, in St.Michael’s Church, Blackrock. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be live-streamed and can be viewed here. This allows those further afield, or unable to travel, to participate in the service and offer their support.
Following the Mass, Betty will be laid to rest in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
