Ella Toone Launches Amicizia Studios; hull KR Extends Ticketing Deal
Updated June 12, 2025
England Lioness ella Toone, a midfielder for Manchester United, has launched Amicizia Studios, a creative agency, with her agent James Marshall. The agency aims to address the sponsorship gap for Women’s Super League (WSL) players. Despite WSL players generating 35% of total social media engagement compared to the Premier league’s 27%, half of them lack brand sponsors.
Amicizia Studios will manage Toone’s content and connect female footballers with brands. Services include content progress, creative consultancy, and public relations, led by Marshall. Toone noted the launch coincides with increased brand interest during a major summer tournament. Women’s Sport Trust research indicates that 80% of brand decision-makers are likely to invest in women’s sport sponsorship in the next three years, with football and individual athletes as top targets.
Hull Kingston Rovers (Hull KR) have extended their partnership with Ticketmaster Sport after experiencing record-breaking home attendance. The club saw its highest average home attendance in the Super League era, with 19 consecutive sellouts during the 2024-25 season. Hull KR’s growing international presence includes a recent Amsterdam fixture and a February 2026 match against leeds Rhinos in Las Vegas. The extended partnership aligns with the increasing trend of digital matchday experiences in UK rugby league.
Charlton Athletic has partnered with MaxAmaze, who will become the men’s first-team’s back-of-short partner for the 2025/26 season. The partnership will focus on improving the matchday experience and stadium infrastructure.
