Elon Musk Ends DOGE⁢ Stint Amid Trump Spending Cut Differences

Musk thanked President Trump for the‍ opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. He stated on X that the cost-cutting initiative‍ would continue. The initial goal of $2 trillion in government spending cuts was later reduced to $150 billion.

In an interview⁢ with CBS,Musk ​criticized Trump’s ⁢domestic ‌policy⁣ agenda,alleging⁤ that the new ⁢Republican spending bill would ⁣increase ⁢the federal deficit and​ undermine DOGE’s work. White House officials maintain that Musk’s departure was amicable.
