Elon Musk Sues OpenAI and Microsoft for $134 Billion

Elon Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft on ⁢January 16, ⁢2026,⁤ seeking $134 billion (approximately ⁢Rp 2.215 trillion, using an exchange rate of Rp 16,800 per‌ US dollar) in damages.⁢ The suit ‍alleges that both companies improperly benefited from his contributions during OpenAI’s founding.

According too the complaint filed in‍ federal court, OpenAI generated between $65.5 billion and $109.4 billion in profits‌ due‌ to Musk’s support in 2015. Microsoft’s profits attributable ⁤to the partnership are estimated between $13.3 billion and‍ $25.1 billion.
