Elton John Reveals How Recent Infection Affected His Music Recording Process
Elton John has shared that an eye infection has affected his vision and his ability to create music. He expressed feeling “stuck” due to this issue. He stated that he is in a slow healing process after losing sight in his right eye back in July. His left eye is also not in great condition. As a result, working in the studio and recording is challenging because he cannot see the lyrics.
In an interview with ABC News’ Good Morning America, Elton said he does not know when his new album with Bernie Taupin will be released. He mentioned that he needs to find the motivation to start working again. He is currently focused on improving his sight and described the situation as difficult, noting that he cannot read or watch anything.
Recently, Elton released a new song titled “Never Too Late” with Brandi Carlile. This song corresponds with his Disney+ documentary of the same name. His last UK performance took place at Glastonbury in 2023 as part of his 330-date Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which concluded in Stockholm, Sweden.
