Embraer reported the delivery of 44 aircraft in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 47% increase compared to the 30 jets delivered during the same period in 2025. The Brazilian aerospace company attributed this growth to production leveling initiatives intended to smooth output across the fiscal year.

The company disclosed these figures in a securities filing on April 2, 2026. The delivery increase was recorded across all three of Embraer’s primary business segments: commercial aviation, executive aviation, and defense and security.

Segment Delivery Breakdown

Executive aviation served as the largest contributor to the first-quarter totals, with 29 jets delivered. This represents a 26% increase over the 23 units delivered in the first quarter of 2025. The executive delivery mix included:

  • 15 Phenom 300s
  • 9 Praetor 500s
  • 4 Praetor 600s
  • 1 Phenom 100

Commercial aviation accounted for 10 deliveries, an increase of 43% from the seven aircraft delivered in the first quarter of 2025. These deliveries consisted of six E175s, three E195-E2s, and one E190-E2.

The defense and security division delivered five aircraft during the period, including four A-29 Super Tucanos and one KC-390 Millennium. This follows a first quarter in 2025 where the division recorded zero deliveries.

Operational Context and Historical Trends

The improvement in first-quarter volume is a result of efforts to address a recurring challenge for the company. Historically, the first quarter has been Embraer’s weakest delivery period, with higher volumes typically concentrated in the final months of the fiscal year.

For comparison, Embraer delivered 91 aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2025. Full-year deliveries for 2025 totaled 244 units, an increase from the 206 units delivered in 2024.

2026 Financial Guidance and Outlook

The first-quarter results align with the company’s trajectory for the remainder of the year. Embraer’s 2026 guidance targets the delivery of 80 to 85 commercial aircraft and 160 to 170 executive jets.

In a full-year financial outlook disclosed on March 6, 2026, the company set the following targets, excluding its subsidiary Eve Air Mobility:

  • Consolidated revenues between $8.2 billion and $8.5 billion
  • An adjusted EBIT margin of 8.7% to 9.3%
  • Free cash flow of $200 million or more

Beyond delivery figures, Embraer continues to expand its market presence. On March 23, 2026, Finnair selected the Embraer E195-E2, placing an order for up to 46 aircraft. In the defense sector, the company recently unveiled the first Gripen E Fighter produced in Brazil on March 25, 2026, in collaboration with Saab and the Brazilian Air Force.

Additional strategic movements include the signing of a memorandum of understanding with CIAC on April 8, 2026, to leverage Colombia’s aerospace industry, and an agreement with ALADA on April 7, 2026, aimed at driving business opportunities across Latin America and Africa.
