PARIS, December ⁢31, 2025 (APMnews) – The transplant ⁤package now provides ⁤for invoicing⁣ arrangements for mobile normothermic regional extracorporeal circulation (CRN), according ‍to a decree published wednesday in the Official Journal.

Background

This ⁢decree modifies that of February 19,2015,known as “services”‍ or “packages”,which lists the packages allocated ‍to health establishments having an activity of medicine, surgery, obstetrics (MCO) or hospitalization at home (HAD).

Annual Update⁤ to Pricing

Ahead of each new pricing⁢ campaign for health ⁣establishments, starting on January 1 from ⁤2026, the so-called “services” or “packages” decree ⁣is updated to take into account the changes provided for in the rules for awarding the different packages for short-stay and HAD activities, before the publication of the new prices.

Inclusion of Mobile CRN

For the 2026 campaign, the “services” or “packages” decree, for which APMnews had a project (see ‍ dispatch from 12/22/2025 at 4:55 p.m.), provides for the inclusion ⁤of mobile CRN in the ⁤”organ harvesting” packages in order‍ to encourage ‌harvesting from “Maastricht III” donors, designating people “who died after a circulatory arrest following a limitation or cessation of therapies” (see dispatch from ⁢09/29/2025 at ‍3:38 p.m.).

New Organ Harvesting Packages

In detail, the text creates two new organ ‍harvesting packages (OP)⁤ to cover⁢ the use of a ‍mobile⁣ CRN during organ harvesting operations.

PO ‌B ⁤Package

A frist package,‍ PO B, concerns the ⁣”removal(s) of organ(s) from a deceased person after ⁤circulatory arrest, with recourse to a [CRN] ‌mobile”. It corresponds to “the stay and care‍ services provided⁤ by the surgeon who performs ‌the act of removal and by the mobile team in charge of‌ placing and‌ monitoring the [CRN] if ‍applicable”. This flat rate is invoiced by the establishment per type of organ removed and for the installation of a mobile CRN, if it has been carried out.

PO E Package

A⁤ second package, PO E, relates solely to the‌ “installation and monitoring of a [CRN] mobile on a ⁣person who died ⁤after ⁣circulatory arrest”.

When the sampling surgeon‍ or the mobile ‍team responsible for the installation and monitoring of the⁣ CRN⁣ are employees of ‌an establishment other than the ⁣one performing the removal, the establishment performing the removal ‍will invoice the services provided by the external team.
