Emily Karbo Takes Clinical Operations and Design Role at ESa

Emily Karbo, DNP, RN, EDAC, Associate AIA, has joined ESa, a Nashville-based architecture and design firm, as a clinical operations and design specialist. ESa is nationally recognized for its architecture and design work.
Karbo, a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota with a Doctor of Nursing Practice in health innovation and leadership, also holds an Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC). She will champion clinically informed design in tennessee and beyond in her new role.
Before joining ESa, Karbo worked as a registered nurse in pediatric and neuroscience intensive care units at the Mayo Clinic. She will now collaborate with healthcare design teams to create efficient and safe environments aligned with care delivery realities. Her EDAC certification from the Center for health Design underscores her dedication to research-driven design for improved health outcomes.
