Royal Water Ceremony Held for National Artist Mr. Boonchalong Phakdeevijit
Many notable figures from the entertainment world attended the ceremony, including Tu Nopphon, Aek Rangsiroj, Nino Manthropene, Overive Beaver, Damp Datsakorn, Nok Boriphan, and Krung Sriwilai, as well as actors who had previously worked with Uncle Chalong.
At 5:30 pm, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn graciously ordered the royal water ceremony to embalm the corpse of Mr. Boonchalong Phakdeevijit. The ceremony was complete with traditional funeral decorations, and the deceased was honored with the presence of royal crowns representing His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, Her Majesty Queen Suthida, and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
At 18:00, the Department of Cultural Promotion presided over the royal bathing ceremony, which began at 18:30. The ceremony was attended by a large crowd of mourners, including many from the entertainment industry. The Abhidhamma prayer ceremony followed, paying respects to the late national artist.
