Empower Yourself: Join Brenda Rodriguez’s Balanced Peach Fitness Community in El Paso
Brenda Rodriguez: Empowering Women Through Fitness in El Paso
Brenda Rodriguez, also known as Nurse B, is a registered nurse and health coach. She co-founded Balanced Peach, a fitness community in El Paso, Texas, aimed at empowering women both physically and mentally.
Rodriguez started her fitness journey when few women in El Paso showed muscle. Inspired, she told her daughter, “We are gonna have a booty camp in the park.” From this idea, Balanced Peach began with small workout sessions that attracted 8 to 15 women. Now, the community hosts 60 to 80 participants, offering two workout classes each week on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Rodriguez emphasizes community support. Her Sunday classes are free, and she wants to keep them that way. These sessions focus on glute exercises, combining elements of Pilates and barre. “We are peach-positive here. We have different peaches. Not just perfect ones, some are lumpy. We need to love ourselves,” she said.
The goal of Balanced Peach is growth in all aspects of life. “You need to keep moving forward to grow and be your best self. Change is good but can be scary. With other women sharing similar goals, it becomes a great experience,” Rodriguez explained.
Many newcomers feel nervous. Yet, over time, they gain confidence. “They walk in not even standing up straight, but then they say, ‘Hey, I belong. These are my people,’” Rodriguez shared. This supportive environment reflects the essence of Balanced Peach.
