Empowering a Safer Tomorrow: County’s Innovative Initiative to Combat School Bullying
Preventing School Bullying and Building a Safety Barrier Together
A Safety Education Theme Activity for Left-Behind Children
On September 19, the County Women’s Federation held a safety education theme activity of “Preventing School Bullying and Building a Safety Barrier Together” at Wanzu Town Primary School.
The Activity
The activity was attended by over 240 students from the whole school, divided into younger groups (grades 1-3) and older groups (grades 4-6) according to their age characteristics. Segmented teaching was adopted to ensure the pertinence and effectiveness of the educational content.
Younger Age Group Class
In the younger age group class, the lecturer guides the children to understand the importance of being friendly and respectful to others through storytelling, and teaches them to identify bullying signs and bravely say “no”. At the same time, through scenario simulation games, the children learn how to seek help and protect themselves from harm in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
Older Students
Older students received more in-depth training in legal knowledge and interpersonal relationship handling skills. Through group discussions, role-playing and other activities, students can experience firsthand how to deal with interpersonal conflicts in a positive and rational way to avoid becoming perpetrators or victims of bullying.
The Importance of Preventing School Bullying
School bullying is a social problem that cannot be ignored. It is related to the healthy growth of every child. The county women’s federation will continue to strengthen its linkage with schools, families and society, and work together to create a safer, more harmonious and loving growth environment for children.
