Empowering Egypt’s Future: Ministers Unite to Revolutionize Vocational Training
Ministry of Labor and Education Collaborate on Vocational Training
The Ministry of Labor has signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to develop the vocational and technical training system. This partnership aims to connect the training and educational process to the required professions, especially those of the future imposed by the technological boom around the world.
The Ministry of Labor has an integrated vocational training system, which includes specific training centers that provide free training services to young people, especially in the villages of the President’s initiative “A Decent Life” as well as in the initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building”. This system links training to market needs, a dream that has now become a reality in light of the merger of the two ministries to graduate staff at levels matching labor market patterns.
The protocol includes cooperation, coordination, and efficiency, benefiting from the capacity of the two ministries with vocational training centers, schools, and classes for technical and industrial education, and advanced curricula to expand the training process and promote the culture of the New Republic.
The Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, emphasized the importance of this protocol in the framework of the Egyptian state’s plans and the expansion of policies to support technical and vocational education. The addition of more than 30 new technical schools will qualify young people for future professions and the labor market.
The Minister of Education added that technical education represents one of the most important files that the Ministry is keen to make every effort to develop in collaboration with various ministries and agencies. Technical education is one of the most important ways to achieve sustainable development, and the Ministry’s vision aims to create a breakthrough in the technical education system to ensure that the skills and abilities of graduate students keep pace with the changing labor market requirements.
