Mauritania and Brazil ⁢Sign⁢ Joint Cooperation ‌Agreement for Scholarships

Mauritania’s government has signed a joint cooperation‌ agreement with Brazil to provide scholarships to Mauritanian students in Brazilian ‌universities.

The agreement was signed by‍ Yacoub‌ Ould Amin, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, ⁢and‍ Evaldo Freire, Brazilian Ambassador, in Nouakchott on⁤ Tuesday.

Objectives of the Agreement

The Ministry of Higher⁣ Education⁢ stated that the agreement aims to enhance cooperation in scientific research, train teachers and researchers, promote university mobility, and exchange knowledge and experiences.

Benefits for Mauritanian Students and Teachers

The Minister ​of Higher Education and Scientific Research emphasized that⁣ this agreement will facilitate‍ joint cooperation between Mauritanian and Brazilian universities in the fields of scholarships, research, and training for students and teachers.

The Ministry is currently finalizing the‍ details ⁤of the⁤ scholarships, which will be offered to students who wish to pursue bachelor’s and​ master’s degrees⁣ in Brazil. The selection process will be transparent and announced officially.

Establishment ‍of a Portuguese ⁤Language Department

The⁣ University of Mauritania will ‌soon establish a Portuguese language department, ⁤thanks‌ to the cooperation with Brazil.
