Empowering Futures: Lalamove’s Qiancheng Plan Awards 40 Scholarships to Drivers’ Children, Paving the Way to University Success
Lalamove “Qiancheng Plan” Talent Scholarship List Announced, Helping 40 Drivers’ Children to Realize Their University Dreams
The list of winners of the “Qiancheng Plan” Talent Scholarship Program initiated by the Beijing Huolala Charity Foundation has been announced. After a rigorous selection process, 40 children of outstanding truck drivers from 18 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the country were selected and received scholarship support.
The Beijing Huolala Charity Foundation, in conjunction with the China Workers Development Foundation and the Shenzhen One Foundation Charity Foundation, launched the 2024 “Qiancheng Plan” Talent Scholarship Project. This initiative provides talent scholarships to the children of drivers who are admitted to excellent public undergraduate colleges in 2024 and whose families are in financial difficulties.
The application channel for the Huolala Talent Scholarship Program received widespread attention from truck drivers on the platform, with 280 truck drivers from across the country submitting applications. 40 children of truck drivers who met the requirements were selected.
Li Xiaoman, daughter of Lalamove driver Li Xuefeng, was one of the recipients of the scholarship. She scored an excellent score of 622 in this year’s college entrance examination and was admitted to Central South University. Li Xuefeng drove thousands of miles to send Xiaoman to school, and the scholarship has reduced their living burden.
“The ‘Qiancheng Plan’ Talent Scholarship is a great reward and encouragement for my daughter. It lets her know that her efforts are recognized by everyone and that hard work pays off. It also makes her more confident in striving for good grades in her university studies,” said Li Xuefeng.
Along with Xiaoman, 39 other children of outstanding Huolala drivers also received the “Qiancheng Plan” talent scholarship. They were admitted to universities such as the University of Science and Technology of China, Xiamen University, Central South University, Tianjin University, and Harbin Institute of Technology.
Mu Linshan, chairman of the Beijing Huolala Charity Foundation, emphasized the importance of protecting the rights and interests of truck drivers. “Truck drivers, as one of the new employment groups, have long regarded their cars as their home and traveled everywhere. They not only bear the burden of the family, but also make positive contributions to supporting social and economic development and improving people’s livelihood services.”
The Beijing Huolala Charity Foundation has formed a project system to accompany the growth of drivers’ children, providing support for their education and growth. This includes awards, visiting studies, and summer camps, aiming to give more drivers’ children opportunities to grow up happily.
