Participating in Parasports Volunteer Activities: “Parasports Kingdom Dream Project 2024”
Empowering Inclusive Sports for All Ages and Abilities
On November 3, 2024, Kobe Shinwa University’s Department of Sports Education participated in the “Parasports Kingdom Dream Project 2024” event at the Shiawase no Mura in Kita Ward, Kobe City. This comprehensive welfare zone offers a unique opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to engage in various sports activities.
The event featured 23 parasports events, including Paralympic sports, which were free and open to participants of all ages, from children to the elderly and people with disabilities. Five students from Kobe Shinwa University’s Department of Sports Education assisted in various sports, deepening their off-campus learning by experiencing parasports and interacting with participants.
The Department of Sports Education is committed to actively participating in off-campus volunteer activities, promoting the benefits of exercise and sports that can be enjoyed by both able-bodied and disabled individuals. By providing opportunities for inclusive sports, we aim to foster a culture of empathy, understanding, and social responsibility.
Our Mission
At Kobe Shinwa University’s Faculty of Education, we strive to create a society where everyone can participate in sports and physical activities, regardless of their abilities. Through our parasports initiatives, we aim to promote social inclusion, equality, and human rights.
