The Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council held a ‘Workshop for Public Officials Related to the 2024 Legislative Assembly’ at the STX Resort in Mungyeong on the 25th and 26th, with about 50 public officials in charge of provincial and city/county council legislation in attendance.
This workshop was designed to strengthen the legislative capacity of provincial and city council officials who are responsible for core duties in local councils. It was organized with special lectures by professional instructors, legislative information from provincial and city councils, and discussions.
The special lecture on this day was conducted on topics that can be helpful in practice, such as ‘Making self-governing laws easy to understand’ and ‘Principles of drafting self-governing laws’, and received a lot of sympathy from the attendees. In particular, Rep. Kim Chang-ki, a provincial council member from Mungyeong, visited and encouraged the public officials and delivered welcome greetings.
