King Abdulaziz University Empowers Entrepreneurship Club with Empowerment Program
The President of King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Tarif Bin Yusuf Al-Ama, represented the Vice President for Business and Knowledge Creativity, Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, at the closing ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Club Empowerment Program. The event took place on Wednesday, Rabi’al-Awal 7, 1446, at the King Faisal Convention Centre, in the presence of the Deputy Governor of the Authority, Mr. Bin Khaled Al-Sabhan.
The Entrepreneurship Club of the University, in partnership with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, organized the event. The ceremony honored the winners of the program, with student Yazid Abdel Moneim’s project “Your Security” taking first place, followed by student Nouf Basmir’s project “Techytag” in second place, and student Gaida Al-Said’s project “Guard” in third place.
Empowering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs
Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, Vice President of the University for Business and Knowledge Creativity, emphasized that this program is the result of a collaborative effort between the University and Mansha’at to create an entrepreneurial generation capable of meeting the challenges of the times. The program aims to establish a system of innovation and creativity that drives economic development and prosperity in the Kingdom.
The program provides young men and women with the opportunity to enhance their entrepreneurial skills, develop their entrepreneurial spirit, and transform their innovative ideas into practical projects that contribute to the development of the national economy and the implementation of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Spreading Entrepreneurial Culture in the University Community
The project targets university student clubs, male and female students, and recent graduates, aiming to spread entrepreneurial culture in the university community in a sustainable manner. The program offers various initiatives, including:
- Providing programs that contribute to raising the level of entrepreneurship awareness
- Activating clubs and attracting members
- Connecting members with the system
- Providing training for members
- Organizing visits of club members to prominent people in the system
- Conducting meetings and workshops
- Hosting an idea marathon and a preparatory camp
- Conducting guidance sessions to prepare aspirants for the leadership camp
