Empowering Vulnerable Students: Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Launches Personalized Health Awareness Initiative
Customized Awareness Improvement Education for School Members
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, led by Superintendent Lim Tae-hee, is set to launch a customized awareness improvement education program for school members from September 25 to December. This initiative aims to provide integrated support for students with health vulnerabilities.
The program is designed to increase understanding of health-vulnerable students who require continuous health management and support due to diabetes, rare diseases, and obesity. It also seeks to strengthen schools’ emergency response capabilities.
The awareness improvement training will feature content tailored to the needs of each student, parent, general teacher, teacher in charge of business, and education support office staff. The training will be led by top experts, including professors from university hospitals.

- Student and parent education: November 2 (Goyang) and November 9 (Suwon)
- Health status monitoring

- General teacher training: September 25 (Uijeongbu) and October 2 (Suwon)

According to Kim Dong-kwon, Director of the Physical Education and Health Division at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, “Appropriate response and integrated management of students’ sudden health problems are important tasks for school members. We will support vulnerable students so that they can lead a healthy school life.”
