Hanwha Non-life Insurance announced on the 3rd that it has launched a new product, ‘Hanwha Signature Women’s Health Insurance 3.0 Non-Dividend’. This new product is characterized by expanding the scope of coverage to areas of high interest to women, from mental illness to scar treatment.

Hanwha Insurance explained that coverage areas related to pregnancy and childbirth have also been strengthened. The special contract for childbirth support, introduced for the first time in the industry, provides congratulatory money of 1 million won for the first birth, 3 million won for the second, and 5 million won for the third. It is the only company in the industry that guarantees hospitalization costs for pregnancy and childbirth, and has also established a special contract for caesarean section surgery costs. An official from Hanwha Insurance explained, “These special contracts were developed to actively participate in solving the low birth rate problem.”

‘Four types of mental health-related special contracts’ for which exclusive use rights were obtained from the Non-Life Insurance Association last month were also included in this new product. In addition, a new diagnosis fee for hypertrophic scars, including keloids, will be established to support the diagnosis fee for hypertrophic scars that appear within two years after a cesarean section or thyroid cancer surgery.

Hanwha Signature Women’s Health Insurance 3.0 can be subscribed to from ages 15 to 89, and also sells a simple notice plan that customers with medical conditions can also subscribe to.

An official from Hanwha Insurance product development said, “This new product is a product with more detailed coverage details to meet the detailed needs of customers,” and added, “Through this, we will further strengthen our position in the women’s health insurance market.”
