Empowering Young Minds: Safe Space Project Revolutionizes Youth Centers in Groundbreaking Collaboration
Empowering Women and Girls through Vocational Training
The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is launching a series of craft and vocational training programs in August and September. These initiatives aim to equip women and girls with essential skills in various trades, as well as sales and marketing expertise, to promote their economic empowerment.
The training programs will be implemented in seven governorates across Egypt, including Al-Sharqiya, Qalyubia, Giza, Damietta, Aswan, Alexandria, and Cairo. The project features 11 safe spaces for women and girls, offering a range of activities such as:
- Awareness against social violence
- Awareness raising about reproductive health
- Psychosocial support
- Vocational training
- Awareness against harmful practices
- Economic empowerment
- Case management
By providing these comprehensive training programs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNFPA aim to promote the economic and social empowerment of women and girls in Egypt.
