An Enexis employee was injured while working at a distribution station on lange Nieuwstraat in Tilburg. Police say he “got a good jolt.” This happened when a short circuit occurred, leaving 16,000 households in Tilburg without power.
Police and ambulance services were dispatched to the employee around 9:10 AM. ”The employee, thanks to his protective clothing, escaped with a hard shock and some superficial burns,” police stated. “He got a good jolt while working with the electricity.”
The employee is reportedly doing well. “He was checked by medical personnel as a precaution,” said an Enexis spokesperson. “But thankfully, he’s okay.”
Large Area affected
The incident occurred Saturday morning, resulting in a large area of Tilburg temporarily losing power. This affected 16,000 households, including traffic lights.
