England Golf Bolsters Support Network with Howden and Citation

England Golf has secured multi-year partnerships with both Howden, a global insurance broker, and Citation, a provider of HR and health & safety services. The agreement with Howden, spanning until the end of 2028, will see the firm continue to arrange £10 million in public liability insurance for England Golf club members and iGolf subscribers. Beyond maintaining existing coverage, Howden will introduce a new scheme offering golfers additional protection for theft and overseas travel. A key component of the partnership is investment in England Golf’s ‘Play Safe, Stay Safe’ campaign, aimed at promoting safer golfing environments and expanding educational resources for clubs, and communities.

Howden’s extensive network of 200 branches across the UK and Ireland positions them to engage directly with affiliated clubs, supporting the growth of the grassroots game. Andy Goulbourne, Divisional Director, Sport and Entertainment at Howden, emphasized the company’s commitment to amateur and grassroots sport, highlighting their dedicated team and specialist claims handlers. England Golf Chief Executive Jeremy Tomlinson echoed this sentiment, stating that Howden’s scale, expertise, and community focus make them an ideal partner in championing a safe, inclusive, and thriving future for the sport.

Complementing the Howden partnership, the agreement with Citation designates the Manchester-based firm as the ‘official HR and health & safety partner’ of England Golf. Citation will provide expert guidance and business support to the organization’s network of affiliated clubs and counties, further strengthening the support structure for the sport at the local level.

Netball Super League Elevates Fan Experience with American Express

Ahead of the 2026 season, the Netball Super League (NSL) has announced a new partnership with American Express, designating the financial services giant as the official payment partner and official ‘super shot’ partner. This collaboration introduces the ‘Amex Super Shot,’ branding the zones from which goals scored in the last five minutes of each quarter will now be worth two points. The partnership also establishes the Amex Super Shot Fund, with both the NSL and American Express pledging to donate to club-specific community funds for every Super Shot scored throughout the season, supporting grassroots netball initiatives across the UK.

American Express Cardmembers will benefit from exclusive perks, including prize draws and priority ticket access. The activation will be fully integrated into all regular season matches and culminate at the season-ending Soft & Gentle Grand Final, scheduled to take place at Co-op Live in Manchester. Claire Nelson, Managing Director of the Netball Super League, described the partnership as a “powerful statement” of the league’s growth trajectory and its commitment to elevating the sport’s visibility, providing high-quality experiences for fans, and supporting communities. Burnley FC Deepens Digital Engagement with X and Sure

Burnley FC continues to expand its innovative partnership with X (formerly Twitter) with the launch of “Limitless,” a behind-the-scenes documentary series following the club’s women’s team. The eight-part series, produced by VSP Studios and Ad Hoc Films, premiered on February 20, 2026, with new episodes released weekly through the end of the 2025/26 season. “Limitless” provides unprecedented access to the squad as they pursue promotion from the Women’s National League, showcasing both on-field action and personal stories.

The series builds on the success of “Keeping The Faith,” which documented the men’s team’s journey during the 2025/26 season. Adding to the partnership ecosystem, Sure has extended its commercial agreement with Burnley FC, becoming the series sponsor for “Limitless” with its Sure For Women line. This sponsorship includes targeted product placement within the episodes, as well as match day kit and stadium branding at Turf Moor.

Sport England has announced a comprehensive restructuring of its executive leadership team and organizational operations, designed to maximize the organization’s impact and effectiveness. Chief Executive Simon Hayes confirmed the implementation of a new structure, realigning the focus of existing directors. Lisa Dodd-Mayne has been appointed Executive Director, Partnerships and Place, while Phil Smith will serve as Executive Director, Sporting System.
