Karun Nair made a strong statement for a potential Test recall, scoring an impressive 186⁣ not out for India A⁤ against England Lions. ⁢The India A vs ​England Lions match saw Nair dominate the first day of the unofficial Test.

Nair, age 33, previously hit a memorable 303 not out against ​England in ⁣2016 in Chennai.Despite⁢ that feat,‍ he was dropped from the ⁢team after only six matches. His recent performance highlights his ambition to rejoin the national squad for⁣ the upcoming Test series.

Nair’s innings included an 181-run partnership​ with Sarfaraz Khan and an unbroken 177-run stand ​with Dhruv Jurel. Sarfaraz khan, who was‍ surprisingly left out of India’s Test squad, contributed 92 runs. Jurel, however,⁣ who ⁢was selected for ⁤the⁣ Test team, ended the day with ⁤82 not out.
