Playing against Pakistan, Joe Root’s side seized early control of the first Test after winning the toss and bowling first. Tongue claimed figures of 5-46 while Robinson took 5-51, skittling the touring Pakistan lineup for 171 runs. The pair are the first England bowlers to register five-wicket hauls in the same Test innings since Steve Harmison and Monty Panesar accomplished the feat against Pakistan at Old Trafford in 2006.
