Chen Anming Inspects and Dispatches City’s Duty, Safety Precautions for Mid-Autumn Festival

On the morning of September 15, the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Chen Anming, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Group of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee and Director, visited the General Duty Room of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to inspect and dispatch the city’s duty, safety precautions, and other work through the video system.

Chen Anming expressed his heartfelt thanks and holiday wishes to the vast number of cadres and workers who stick to their front-line posts on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Government, and the people of the city. He emphasized the importance of earnestly studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on work safety, strictly implementing the deployment requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, focusing on coordinating development and safety, and doing a solid and meticulous job in safety precautions to ensure that the people have a safe, peaceful, and happy Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

During the video inspection and dispatch meeting, Chen Anming connected with various departments, including the Municipal Meteorological Bureau, Municipal Three-Disaster Prevention Office, Municipal Public Security Bureau, Municipal Maritime Bureau, Municipal Fire Rescue Detachment, Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and Municipal Education Bureau. He inspected and dispatched work on production safety, flood prevention and disaster reduction, social stability, road traffic, water safety, fire emergency, cultural tourism, campus safety, and other areas.

Chen Anming pointed out that during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the public is willing to travel, and the traffic volume is large, making the safety precaution situation complicated. He emphasized that all localities and relevant departments should attach great importance to safety precautions, resolutely overcome paralysis and fluke mentality, take the initiative to take responsibility, implement various measures such as safety production, disaster prevention and mitigation, and ensure that the people of the city have a happy, peaceful, and safe holiday.

He highlighted the need to strengthen the monitoring and control of crowded places, timely optimize the deployment of forces for large-scale entertainment activities and peak travel periods, and ensure the safety of public places and smooth travel for the public. He also emphasized the importance of keeping a close eye on key industries such as chemicals, hazardous chemicals, tourism, and construction sites, strengthening the investigation of safety production risks, and making safety preparations for resumption of work and production after the holiday.

Additionally, Chen Anming stressed the need to do a good job in food safety supervision during the holidays, strengthen the safety management of students in school during the holidays, carry out publicity on dengue fever prevention and control knowledge, and remind citizens to prevent and kill mosquitoes to avoid dengue fever. He also encouraged carrying out various holiday condolence activities, caring for the elderly and children, and strengthening assistance to disadvantaged and special groups.

Chen Anming emphasized the importance of strengthening organizational leadership, tightening the responsibility of on-duty work, strictly implementing the system of leading cadres on duty and 24-hour dedicated duty, reporting emergency information in a timely and accurate manner, and ensuring that any emergency is responded to and dealt with in the first time.
