Erdoğan Takes Center Stage: World Leaders Hang on His Every Word at the 79th General Assembly

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held bilateral meetings with many leaders in New York, United States of America (USA), where he went to attend the 79th United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

President Erdoğan, who was greeted with affection at the entrance of the Turkish House on the first day of his visit to New York as part of his relations in the USA, met many leaders there and conducted intense diplomacy.

Erdoğan met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Guinea Bissau President Cissoko Embalo.

President Erdoğan, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Prime Lebanese Minister Najibat Mikati received Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia.

Erdoğan, who gave the book titled “A More Just World is Possible” with his signature to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, presented a report to Khan, the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, prepared by Anadolu Agency (AA) , which clearly reveals the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza He handed over the books “Evidence” and “Witness”, which are the main evidence.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly, where he called on the international community to take action regarding Gaza, received wide attention in the foreign press.

Erdogan, who gave an interview to the NBC News channel after his speech in the General Assembly and emphasized the Israeli massacres in Gaza, said, “From 1947 until today, Palestine has lost its lands and arrived today. I wonder how many Palestinians were martyred here , how many Palestinians were killed, “When we examine behind the scenes to this, the situation reaches very different levels,” he said.

As part of his relations in the USA, President Erdoğan visited the TURKEN Foundation, which was jointly established by the Turkish Youth Service and Education Foundation (TÜRGEV) and the Ensar Foundation.

Erdogan, who met with representatives of some think tanks operating in the USA in a round table meeting, attended the lunch event organized by the Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC).

Erdoğan met with American and Turkish business people within the framework of the 15th Turkey Investment Conference, and together with his wife Emine Erdoğan, visited the photography exhibition “Women in Life” opened by the Women and Democracy Institute (KADEM).

President Erdoğan and his delegation returned to Istanbul after their contacts in the USA.
