During the meeting, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Iraq, regional and global issues were evaluated. During the meeting, President Erdoğan said that Turkey and Iraq have taken steps to improve cooperation as two neighboring countries, that both countries and the region will gain, especially with the implementation of the Development Road Project, and that cooperation is the fight against terrorism is important at the moment. President Erdoğan said that the unity of the international community is needed to stop Israel’s attempts to spread conflict to the region, and that Israel will definitely be held accountable for its massacres on Palestinian lands.

Erdogan met the President of Guinea Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo at the Turkevi in ​​New York, where he came for the 79th United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Guinea Bissau, regional and global issues were discussed. During the meeting, President Erdoğan said that it is important to develop commercial and economic relations between the two countries, as well as cooperation in the field of military and defense industry.
