President Erdoğan’s ties in New York, where he is attending the 79th meeting of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, continue.
Erdogan received the Prime Minister of Lebanon Necib Mikati at the Turkevi in New York, where he was on the occasion of the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations.
INTERVIEW WITH AL BURHAN
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a meeting with the President of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, Abdülfettah Abdülrahman El Burhan, at the Türkevi in New York, where he came for the 79th United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Sudan, regional and global issues were discussed.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan said that Turkey’s relations with Sudan are improving day by day and that the unity between the two countries will continue to grow stronger.
President Erdoğan said that aid activities should be increased to prevent the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which is worsening due to Israeli attacks, and that Turkey is doing its best to come to the aid of the oppressed Palestinians.
MEET WITH IRAQI PRIME MINISTER
According to the post on the social media account of the Presidency, President Erdoğan met with the Prime Minister of Iraq Mohammed Shiya al-Sudani at the Turkish House in New York, United States, where he was present for the 79th United Nations General Assembly .
A statement came from the Communications Directorate regarding the meeting;
Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, received the Prime Minister of Iraq, Muhammed Shiya al-Sudani, at the Turkevi in New York, where he went for the 79th United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Iraq, regional and global issues were evaluated. During the meeting, President Erdoğan said that Turkey and Iraq have taken steps to improve cooperation as two neighboring countries, that both countries and the region will gain, especially with the implementation of the Development Road Project, and that cooperation is the fight against terrorism is important at the moment. President Erdoğan said that the unity of the international community is needed to stop Israel’s attempts to spread conflict to the region, and that Israel will definitely be held accountable for its massacres on Palestinian lands.
Erdogan met the President of Guinea Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo at the Turkevi in New York, where he came for the 79th United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Guinea Bissau, regional and global issues were discussed. During the meeting, President Erdoğan said that it is important to develop commercial and economic relations between the two countries, as well as cooperation in the field of military and defense industry.
