Erdoğan Unveils Major Boost for Farmers: Agricultural Credit Limit Skyrockets to 40 Million Lira

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the opening program of the 2024-2025 Aquaculture Hunting Season in Yenikapı. The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı and many citizens also participated in the program.
‘WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD OUR FISHING BROTHERS’
Speaking at the program, President Erdoğan said, “We are together on the occasion of the opening of the Aquaculture Hunting Season 2024-2025. I welcome you all today, where our fertile seas will meet our ancient fishermen. As in every season, we open our season together by saying vira bismillah. This profession is called Yunus Aleyhisselam. “It is the profession of those who are patient. The profession of those who say ‘It’s my luck’. ‘WE’VE BROUGHT 100 MILLION FISH TO OUR FULL WATERS’
Erdoğan said, ”For the development of our sector, we provided a total of 45 billion lira of direct cash support in real figures, including 23 billion lira of Special Consumption Tax reduced fuel support, 16 billion lira of aquaculture support, and 561 million lira of small-scale fishing aid. We did not give up on this the agricultural credit limit of our fishermen supported by the treasury, from 15 million lira to 40 million lira waters in 2023. Thank God, we have received and are receiving the reward of this support, thanks to hard work , the diligent efforts of our fishermen and the support we provide,” he said.
‘EXPORTED TO APPROXIMATELY 100 COUNTRIES’

We carry out these activities with a win-win approach, not with a colonial approach like other countries “Our Turkish investors, who make a difference, process their products in the factories they establish and create employment for the citizens of the country they are in. We hope to further increase our overseas fishing ventures in the period to come,” he said.
‘WE FIGHT BIG IN INTERNATIONAL FISHERIES MANAGEMENT FORMS’
Erdoğan said, “I want you to know. We are fighting hard on international fisheries management platforms to protect the interests of our country and you, our fishermen. The quota amounts we received for Bluefin Tuna, Kalkan, Sword, Albacore and Red Shrimp species are a sign of this. After the program, President Erdoğan released the fish produced by the Ministry of Agriculture on a ship used for fishing into the sea.
