Erin Moriarty, known for her role as starlight/Annie January in ​the Prime Video series “The Boys,” recently⁢ revealed her diagnosis of Graves’ disease. ‍The actress took‍ to social media to advocate for proactive ⁣health management, urging individuals to listen to their bodies and seek medical ⁢attention when experiencing pain or discomfort.

Moriarty emphasized the⁣ varied ways autoimmune diseases can manifest. According to the Cleveland Clinic,Graves’ disease,a‌ common ailment particularly among⁢ women under 40,leads to hyperthyroidism.⁤ Symptoms range​ from heat sensitivity and weight loss to⁢ tremors and‌ irregular heartbeats. Graves’ ophthalmopathy,affecting about a third ⁢of patients,can cause eye ⁤issues.
