Trio Apprehended After Fleeing Stolen car in Thurgau
Erlen,Thurgau – Three individuals are in custody after a stolen vehicle incident unfolded in erlen,Thurgau,on Wednesday morning. The Thurgau cantonal police apprehended the trio after a brief pursuit.
Police Pursuit and Apprehension
The incident began shortly after 5 a.m. when officers attempted to stop a red Subaru with rear-end damage on the main road to Biessenhofen TG.Instead of complying,the driver sped off,initiating a chase.
According to a police communiqué, the driver committed multiple traffic violations while fleeing toward Erlen. The pursuit led through several towns, including Alben and Bürglen. The driver then headed toward Sulgen before stopping the vehicle on the main road between Sulgen and Bürglen.
After the vehicle stopped, all three occupants – a 34-year-old Algerian man and two passengers, ages 16 and 17 – exited the car and fled on foot across a field toward Estighofen.
The escape attempt proved unsuccessful. Police apprehended all three individuals a short time later.
Stolen Vehicle and Charges
An inquiry revealed that the Subaru had been reported stolen from Neukirch TG earlier that night. The 34-year-old driver was deemed unfit to drive and was required to submit blood and urine samples for testing. He also faces charges for driving without authorization.
The vehicle was secured by authorities, and the three men were detained for further questioning.
