On April 12, 2025, OGC Nice and RC Strasbourg played to a 2-2 draw in a Ligue 1 match at Stade de la Meinau in Strasbourg, France.

Nice took the lead in the 38th minute through a goal by left wingback Melvin Bard, who scored after a well-placed long ball from Jonathan Clauss. Bard controlled the ball with his first touch and finished calmly past Strasbourg goalkeeper Marcin Bułka.

Strasbourg responded strongly after halftime, scoring two goals to take a one-goal lead. The first came in the 51st minute when Emanuel Emegha won a physical duel against Moïse Bombito and finished with a composed left-footed shot past Bułka. Just three minutes later, Strasbourg extended their lead through Sam Amo-Ameyaw, who scored after receiving a pass from Andrey Santos on the right flank, cutting inside and finishing with his right foot despite a hand from Bułka.

Nice refused to concede defeat and equalized in stoppage time. From a corner kick delivered by Jonathan Clauss, Youssouf Ndayishimiye outmuscled the Strasbourg defense and headed the ball past goalkeeper Djordje Petrović to make the score 2-2.

Following the match, Jonathan Clauss spoke with DAZN, reflecting on the performance: “We played a good match. We controlled the first half, but then we made two mistakes that cost us a lot of effort, even though we were in control of the game.”

The result left both teams sharing points in a tightly contested encounter that saw momentum shift multiple times, with Nice ultimately securing a point away from home after trailing late in the second half.
