Portland’s annual Cinema Unbound Awards is expanding into a five-day public celebration in 2026, bringing film, music, comedy, food and conversation programming to multiple venues — and welcoming Criterion’s Mobile Closet to Portland for the first time.
Portland Art Museum and Tomorrow Theater will host Cinema Unbound Week from Wednesday, May 27, through Sunday, May 31, 2026, with events at the Portland Art Museum, PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theater at 3530 Southeast Division Street, and PAM CUT @ The Whitsell. The week culminates in PAM CUT’s annual fundraising gala.
The expansion opens programming that had previously been invitation-only to broader Portland audiences. Organizers position the event as one of the first major public arts moments for the Portland Art Museum since it unveiled its $116 million Mark Rothko Pavilion campus transformation in November 2025.
