Lille, France is home to a specialized school dedicated to preparing the next generation of real estate professionals: ESPI (École supérieure des professions immobilières). Offering programs ranging from two-year BTS degrees to five-year Master’s level qualifications, ESPI focuses on practical, profession-oriented training with strong ties to the local industry.

The school, conveniently located near the Lille Flandres train station, emphasizes a hands-on approach to education. Students participate in site visits, attend industry conferences, and benefit from interventions by real estate specialists. This immersive experience is designed to quickly acclimate students to the realities of the field and build a professional network from the outset.

A Range of Programs to Match Career Goals

ESPI Lille offers a tiered system of education, catering to students at various stages of their academic journey. At the Bac+2 level (equivalent to an Associate’s degree), the BTS Professions Immobilières (PI) program is available. This qualification prepares students for roles in real estate management, transactions, and property syndication, and allows them to obtain the necessary professional cards for these functions.

Moving up to the Bac+3 level (Bachelor’s degree), ESPI offers the Bachelor Gestionnaire d’Affaires Immobilières (GESAI). This program focuses on developing skills in real estate business management.

For those seeking advanced qualifications, ESPI provides a suite of Bac+5 (Master’s level) programs. These include:

  • Property Manager – Manager en gestion Immobilière (MAGI): Focused on property management.
  • Manager en Aménagement et Promotion Immobilière (MAPI): Specializing in land development and real estate promotion. Océane Goret, a 2024 MAPI graduate, highlighted how the program allowed her to diversify her skills and explore the dynamic field of property development after initially focusing on older properties. She also noted the opportunity to become an ESPI Lille ambassador, providing valuable personal and professional development.
  • Manager en Evaluation et Finance Immobilière (MEFIM): Concentrating on real estate valuation, and finance.

Notably, ESPI’s Diplôme Supérieur en Immobilier (the Bac+5 level qualification) has been recognized by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, granting it the authority to confer the grade of Master. According to Flore Lefevere, Director of Campus Development, ESPI is the only specialized real estate school to receive this highest level of recognition for its five-year program.

Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice

A key component of the ESPI Lille experience is the emphasis on practical application. Students aren’t simply learning theory in a classroom; they are actively engaged in real-world scenarios. Visits to construction sites, guest lectures from industry professionals, and the integration of apprenticeships are all integral to the curriculum. As Laura, a third-year GESAI Bachelor student, explained, this approach allows students to “confront quickly the realities of the field, while developing a local network from the training.”

The school’s commitment to professionalization extends to career support, helping students transition from education to employment within the Hauts-de-France region and beyond.

Open House Opportunity

Prospective students have the opportunity to learn more about ESPI Lille and its programs at an open house event scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Attendees can tour the campus, meet with faculty and staff, and gain a firsthand understanding of the school’s offerings. Free registration is available on the ESPI website.

ESPI Lille’s programs are state-recognized at levels 5 (BTS), 6 (Bachelor), and 7 (Master’s degree), or equivalent school diplomas, providing students with a solid foundation for a successful career in the ever-evolving real estate sector. The school’s location in a major regional center like Lille, combined with its focus on practical training and industry connections, positions its graduates for strong employment prospects.
