ESPN Acquires rights for Australian Cricket Tour of West Indies

ESPN has secured the broadcast rights in Australia and New Zealand for the australian men’s cricket team’s tour of the West Indies. The agreement marks a significant milestone as ESPN airs its frist Australian overseas cricket tour in 30 years.
The deal encompasses all eight matches of the series,which runs from June 26 to July 29. Cricket fans can watch three test matches and five Twenty20 encounters as part of the Australian cricket tour.
ESPN’s Caribbean arm will also provide domestic coverage of the series in the West Indies.This follows a long-term agreement established in November with Cricket West Indies.
The last test series between the West Indies and Australia occurred in 2015, with Australia winning 2-0. A subsequent two-match series in Australia in early 2024 ended in a 1-1 draw.
