Paris’s Grand palais has reopened its doors following a four-year renovation, inaugurating the space wiht the Balloon museum’s “Euphoria” exhibition. The exhibit offers a playful, immersive experience, inviting visitors to interact with the art.
Among the installations are five giant silver spheres reminiscent of Newton’s cradle, swaying rhythmically. Roberto Fantauzzi, founder of the Balloon Museum, encourages interaction, stating, “It is forbidden not to touch.”
The “Euphoria” exhibition features a range of engaging displays, including black bin bags that appear to breathe on the walls, a bed that slowly inhales and exhales, and a glass house filled with blue balloons. The Japanese-British duo A.A. Murakami contributed a tree that releases smoke-filled bubbles, while the exhibition culminates in a massive pit containing two million black balls.
