Irish EuroMillions players experienced a mixed bag of fortune in Friday’s draws, with two individuals securing six-figure prizes despite the €130 million jackpot remaining unclaimed. Over 67,000 tickets across the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus games won prizes, according to the National Lottery.
The largest Irish win came in the EuroMillions Plus draw, where a Dublin player matched all five numbers to claim the top prize of €500,000. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at the Centra Drumcondra store at 32-38 Lower Drumcondra Road in Dublin 9 on Thursday, February 19th. This marks the third significant EuroMillions win for a Dublin player in the past week, following a €500,000 win on Tuesday, February 17th and a €1,005,000 win in the Ireland Only Raffle on Friday, February 13th.
In the main EuroMillions draw, a player in County Cork came remarkably close to winning the €130 million jackpot, matching five numbers and one Lucky Star. This resulted in a payout of €161,198. The winning ticket was purchased at Mace Sallybrook in Glanmire, Co. Cork, on the day of the draw.
The winning numbers in the main EuroMillions draw were 13, 24, 28, 33, and 35, with Lucky Stars 05 and 09. The EuroMillions Plus winning numbers were 02, 12, 26, 28, and 41.
The National Lottery is urging all players who participated in Friday’s draws to carefully check their tickets. Sarah Orr, a National Lottery spokesperson, highlighted the recent winning streak in Dublin. “Over the past week, EuroMillions players in Dublin have enjoyed incredible wins. A player in Drumcondra got their weekend started in style after scooping the top prize of €500,000 in Friday night’s draw. Just days earlier, a player in Tallaght won €500,000 in Tuesday’s Plus draw while last Friday 13th February, another Drumcondra player won €1,005,000 in the special Ireland Only Raffle.”
Orr also emphasized the importance of claiming prizes promptly. “A Cork player also had plenty to celebrate on Friday night after matching five numbers and one lucky star to win €161,198 in the main draw. The biggest winners of the night are advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe. They should contact the Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prizes at Lottery Headquarters.”
The lack of a jackpot winner means that Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot is now estimated at €140 million. This rollover continues a trend of escalating jackpot amounts, attracting increased participation and further fueling the public’s interest in the lottery.
The EuroMillions Plus draw provides an additional opportunity for players to win, offering a separate set of numbers and a substantial, albeit smaller, jackpot. This structure allows for more frequent wins and contributes to the overall appeal of the EuroMillions franchise.
Beyond the headline prizes, ten Irish players each won €5,000 in the Ireland Only Raffle. The winning raffle codes were I-TGT-78425, I-TGZ-72911, I-THC-34465, I-THD-77966, I-THF-55334, I-THF-88535, I-THH-79154, I-THJ-00617, I-THJ-13202, and I-THJ-60418.
The National Lottery’s ongoing encouragement for players to check their tickets underscores the importance of verifying winning numbers, particularly given the large number of prizes distributed in recent draws. The combination of substantial jackpots and frequent smaller wins continues to drive participation in the EuroMillions lottery across Ireland.
